The Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW), along with the Librarians’ and Archivists Association of the University of Waterloo (LAAUW) stand in solidarity with our MAFA colleagues in fighting for issues such as disability accommodation, workload and job security.  FAUW is making a $1000 contribution of support to MAFA.

Dear Matt,

The small but battle-hardened UNBC Faculty Association sends you our unwavering solidarity, both virtually as thoughts and good wishes, but also more concretely as $1000 in cold, hard cash, which you actually sent us back in November. Odd how things change, and yet don’t.

We also tried to send you our Chief Negotiator, Ted Binnema, as a Flying Picket, for some real, in-the-flesh solidarity, but sadly his flight was cancelled so he will only be there in spirit. We (or, rather, the Defence Fund) will try again next week if you do not settle before.
