MAFA COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT 2007-2010 DEADLINES:

JANUARY

FEBRUARY

  • February 21
    Employee must accept Sabbatical Leaves and Librarian's Leaves - Article 23.21

MARCH

  • March 1
    Employer will write to members regarding Sabbatical Leaves and Librarian's Leaves - Article 23.07 also see Article 23.13
  • March 31
    Elections to the Sabbatical Leaves Committee will be completed - Article 23.02(g)

APRIL

  • April 1
    Member evaluations of department heads due - Article 14.09
  • April 30
    Faculty members will be told of promotion decisions - Article 17.46
    Librarians will be told of promotion decisions - Article 20.43

MAY

  • May 15
    Academic staff will be informed of their teaching duties - Article 12.05(b)
  • May 31
    Members must submit their reports of professional activites - Article 14.03
    Employer and Union will jointly appoint Employment Equity Panel members - Article 16.12(a) and 19.12(a)

JUNE

  • June 30
    Department heads will provide assessment of members to Dean - Article 14.04

JULY

  • July 15
    Limit on the Employer's ability to alter teaching duties - Article 12.05(b)
  • July 31
    The Employer will provide the Union with information on the composition of the full-time membership - Article 5.13(a)
AUGUST

SEPTEMBER

  • September 15
    Applications for Sabbatical Leaves and Librarians' Leaves due - Article 23.08
  • September 30
    Professional Reports of members on sabbatical or librarians' leave due - Article 14.03, Article 23.25
    Employer must report to Union on progress in reaching equitable normal teaching duties for all departments - Article 12.05(c)

OCTOBER

NOVEMBER

  • November 1
    Evaluations sent to members on sabbatical or librarians' leave in previous year - Article 14.06 also see Article 14.07
  • November 30
    Employer will tell member and Union which sabbatical nd librarian's leaves have been granted, including dates - Article 23.20
